The new Instragram embed feature announced a couple of days ago, uses iframes.
I know it works with self-hosted Wordpress blogs because I embedded some images on the Quillcards blog yesterday.
It does not work with Wordpress.com blogs because Wordpress strips iframes out of posts - leaving nothing there at all. I tested that as well.
Embeds cannot be pinned with Pinterest. I tested that.
And as far as I can tell, embeds do not work with Blogger blogs. At least, the code didn't show as as image when I looked at this post in 'preview' mode a second ago.
